FROST BANK CENTER
Home of the San Antonio Spurs, one of the most decorated franchises in NBA history, Frost Bank Center has played host to major events including the NBA Finals, the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and concerts by superstar artists and bands like Zach Bryan, AC/DC and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Sponsored by SWBC, the Terrace Level premium area on the second floor of Frost Bank Center is equipped with box seats and suites to give VIP clients the best experience at the game or event they are attending. To highlight the organization’s rich history and the other headlining acts that took center stage inside Frost Bank Center, the San Antonio Spurs brought in Rally Department to redesign their Terrace Level and give it a more premium feel. This included redesigning the decor to feature all 397 Spurs players in franchise history while incorporating key pieces of memorabilia and highlighting the other major events like concerts and the rodeo that have taken place in Frost Bank Center.
THE CHALLENGE
To create a modern and premium atmosphere for guests, the Terrace logo was designed as a badge featuring the SWBC logo and the tagline "Above the Action," reflecting the elevated second-level seating. The typefaces blend sporty and playful elements, highlighting the unique experience upstairs. The sign is crafted from black acrylic with raised white dimensional letters and mounted off the wall with white backlighting for a sleek, polished look.
To honor every player who has worn the Spurs' iconic silver and black since 1973, Rally Dept. organized a list of over 397 names, divided into three distinct eras, to be featured at the landing zones. The text was justified to create a clean, organized layout, allowing fans to reminisce on the memories associated with each player.
Drawing inspiration from sports magazines like SLAM and The Franchise, we created collages of players, city landmarks, and branding elements from each era. All images were enhanced and treated in black and white to provide a cohesive, upscale appearance at each landing.
The artwork was printed on matte vinyl wallpaper, accented by glossy orange Spurs rowels (stars) to complement the black and teal paint on the walls. Dimensional dates were installed at each landing to add an extra pop of color.
Custom wood paneling was added to the walls to enhance the premium feel of the wall graphics, and acrylic frames showcasing jerseys, a scorebook, a magazine cover, and guitars were installed throughout the three landings, offering fans a glimpse into the rich history of the franchise and the venue.
