Based in Austin, Texas, FreeForm Sports pioneers the next generation of safety gear and accessories using revolutionary 3D technology and manufacturing techniques. Specializing in custom thigh pads for football and shin guards for soccer, athletes undergo precise body scans for an unparalleled fit and comfort. Utilizing 3D printing, each pad is tailored to their unique measurements, ensuring both safety and agility. Moreover, athletes can add personal flair with customizable logos to pads and accessories, enhancing both performance and style.
3D PRINTED SAFETY GEAR + ACCESSORIES
Traditionally, safety gear has been more about function than fashion, often chosen based on size rather than personal style. However, as athletes increasingly prioritize showcasing their individuality both on and off the field, the landscape is changing. With the rise of NIL and personal branding, there's a growing demand for gear that reflects athletes' unique identities. FreeForm Sports will disrupt the market by not only bringing a fresh brand perspective but also integrating cutting-edge safety technology into its gear, ensuring both style and safety are at the forefront.
THE CHALLENGE
Rally Department created the FreeForm Sports brand from scratch. We put our client through a creative process that involved strategy workshops to learn the origin stories, company goals and learned about the tech/product offering. We completed market research to learn about competitors, 3D processes, and analyzed initial market tests. Wanted to create a brand that was stylish and cool. Logo resembles the embossing effect of our 3D pads, and how the athlete can showcase their brand through their pants.
