Rally Department Wins Lone Star Sports Emmy Award
FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Rally Department, a Fort Worth based sports focused creative agency, was awarded a Lone Star Sports Emmys on Tuesday night for video production work completed in the last year on behalf of the American Athletic Conference.
The “Trail to Fort Worth” project, which Rally Department wrote, produced, directed and edited in three weeks to promote the American Athletic Conference’s men’s and women’s basketball championships held in Fort Worth, won the Lone Star Emmy in Sports Promotion - Topical (Single Spot).
“This award is a testament to the incredibly talented people that work at our agency and the American Athletic Conference, who put their trust in our team to tell their story,” Rally Department President Bryan Delgado said. “In two short years our vision of an agency of sports professionals serving as the creative partners to the industry continues to be validated.”
The 30-second spot aired nationally on ESPN+ and was also promoted across the American Athletic Conference’s social media channels during the weeks leading up to and the week of the 2024 American Athletic Conference Basketball Championships.
Rally Department’s “Ascend Together” campaign on behalf of Rice University was also nominated for a Lone Star Emmy in the Sports Branded Content category. The two-minute video which Rally Department wrote, produced, directed and edited was made to celebrate and create hype for Rice’s entrance into the American Athletic Conference in summer of 2023. The spot debuted at halftime of the Rice versus Texas football game televised nationally on FOX.
Since its inception in 2022, Rally Department has accumulated multiple recognitions including a 2023 San Antonio ADDY Award for its H-E-B traveling brand activation entitled “The Porch”. Rally Department was also named to BizBash’s list of “SXSW 2024: Top Brand Activations” for its “Hoops & Scoops” activation it created for the San Antonio Spurs.
The agency was founded by former sports executives with the sole purpose of working with universities, teams and brands using sports as a marketing platform. Other high-profile clients that Rally Department has worked with since its founding include the Davey O’Brien Foundation, NCAA, TCU, University of Oklahoma, Dallas Trinity FC and Vail Resorts.
